The short version: this website uses no tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
This website (safeandinformed.com) does not set cookies for tracking, analytics, advertising, or profiling. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social-media trackers, or any third-party tracking technology on the site.
We use a small amount of browser local storage (not cookies, and never sent to a server for tracking) only where it is strictly necessary:
Browsing the public directory, downloading OPML/Excel files, suggesting a source, or reporting a broken feed does not require or set any cookie.
To prevent abuse of the anonymous "suggest a source" and "report broken" forms, our server temporarily counts requests per IP address in short-lived, in-memory counters. Your IP address is used only for this rate-limiting and is not stored alongside your submission and not used to identify or track you. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Cookies are a web-browser concept and generally don't apply to the mobile app. The free (Lite) version of the app shows advertising via Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers subject to your consent. That is covered in the Privacy Policy, not here.
If we ever introduce cookies, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.
